Theatre in the countryside In Flintsbach, in the Bavarian valley of the Inn, theatre performances have been taking place since 1675. The theatre built in 1823 testifies to this tradition. The “theatre folks” of Flintsbach – as the local amateur actors are called – have always been very talented and offer an array of local and international plays, all in local dialect.
The exceptional sliding and rotating wings of the stage decorations, historical curtains and the sumptuous proscenium arch are maintained with loving care and used with great effect. The baroque church of Flintsbach, the parish museum and the pilgrimage church are also worth a visit.
